When you book with Keeva Travel, you can do so in the knowledge that your booking is secure, and your money is safeguarded. We have various protection plans and arrangements in place to be able to offer you 100% financial guarantee.

The Travel Trust Association (TTA) provides total financial protection for the customers of TTA Members’ in the event of a TTA Member’s financial failure. The financial protection involves two aspects, the Trust Account, and the Stand Alone Safe Seat Plan Guarantee plan. The combination of the Trust Account and the Guarantee will ensure that all the money which a customer has paid to a TTA Member is safely protected.

Trust Account

Every TTA Member operates a Trust Account. Every single penny received from a customer of the business must be deposited into the TTA Member’s Trust Account. The Trust Account is supervised by an independent Trustee who is either a banker, chartered or certified accountant or a solicitor. Both the Travel Trust Association members and the trustee are required to authorise payments from the trust account.

As the Trust Account is supervised by TTA Trustees (UK) Ltd, it is their role to ensure the correct operation of the Trust Account by enforcing the Trust Deed Document and TTA Code of Conduct.

Stand Alone Safe Seat Plan Guarantee

The Stand Alone Safe Seat Plan Guarantee is a financial Guarantee from the TTA to the customers of TTA Members. The Guarantee is issued to the customer on behalf of the TTA by the TTA Member. The Guarantee is to financially protect the Customer in the event that there are insufficient funds in the Member’s Trust Account due to fraud, theft or dishonesty committed by the TTA Member.

The Guarantee will protect the value of the Customer’s booking up to a maximum of £11,000.00 per person.

Scheduled Airline Failure Insurance (SAFI)

SAFI cover provides Tour Operators and other travel trade entities with the financial security that should a Scheduled Airline fail, to either reimburse the customer or, if they are already taking their trip, replace their flight to get them home where the passenger is outside their country of departure.

Scheduled Airlines are identified as those who sell to the public at large, publish a timetable and operate to a specific schedule including low cost airlines such as Easyjet or Ryan Air. Cover can be provided from £500 to any limit.

Air Travel Organisers Licence – ATOL

ATOL stands for Air Travel Organiser’s Licence. It is a government-run financial protection scheme operated by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). ATOL covers package holidays that include flights, and some flight only sales.

If the travel arrangements you buy are ATOL protected, you will receive an ATOL Certificate after making your payment, and you will need to keep the certificate safe. ATOL cover means that if the ATOL protected company fails and your holiday can no longer go ahead you will be entitled to a refund if you are yet to travel, and hotel costs and flights home if you are abroad.

ATOL is a financial protection scheme, it does not provide other assistance if there are other problems with your holiday. Flights booked directly with airlines are not protected under the ATOL scheme.
